Although not open to the public this year due to COVID-19, Radio City Rockets for Radio City Christmas Spectacular 2020 will take the stage tonight. Traditional Christmas festivities take place at NBC.

The holiday special, “Christmas Spectacular Starring The Radio City Rockets – At Home Holiday Special” airs at 10pm NBC Eastern time. The event airs as soon as it airs on NBC’s Rockefeller Center for Christmas.

Radio City Rockets are starring in their traditional holiday show tonight

Radio City Christmas Spectacular is one of New York City’s favorite Christmas events. Normally, viewers watch the show live when a TV viewer watches it from home, but this year, the festivals will only be broadcast online and on TV.

According to QNS, the event will be co-hosted by NBC News’ Today “co-editors Savannah Kudri and Hota Kot. Special appearances and holiday news include Jenna Diwan, Hopi Goldberg, Josh Croben, Carla Hall, Padma Lakshmi and John Legend. The special lasts for an hour.

“The much-loved Radio City ‘Christmas Spectacular’ is a kind of tradition that brings the magic of Christmas to life in New York.” QNS Announced. “The annual holiday show takes the audience through Central Park, the manager in Bethlehem and the North Pole, while the rockets dance in stunning costumes. This is the first time in Radio City’s history that ‘Christmas Spectacular’ has not performed this lovely holiday celebration.”


The live performance of the 2020 Radio City Christmas Exhibition was canceled in August

No one will see the holiday performance of the Rockets this year live. In August, the entertainment management company announced that they would be canceling the live show and refund those who had already purchased tickets, in anticipation that the corona virus would become a concern by the end of this year.

We regret the cancellation of the 2020 Christmas Spectacular Starring Radio City Rockets provided by Chase due to the continuing uncertainty associated with the COVID-19 epidemic, ”says the Radio City Rockets website. “We are disappointed with everyone involved with the show, as well as the many fans who make Christmas a spectacular part of their holiday tradition. We look forward to welcoming visitors back to the 2021 product now on sale. All tickets for the 2020 production will be refunded automatically upon purchase.”

For the first time in almost 90 years, iconic entertainment shows did not air live during the holidays, CNN Announced.

“This marks the first year that the Christmas Spectacular has not been performed since it began its annual run in 1933.” Theater mania Announced. “The special is produced by Alex Colette Productions with the creative support of Madison Square Garden Entertainment. Alex Colette serves as executive producer. Barbara Danov and Alison Rothinger will produce co-executives. ”
