Harrison Ford is set to reconsider the iconic role of Indiana Jones for a final film

Harrison may push the Ford 80s, but he is not old enough for a finale for a wide-ranging film by adventurer Indiana Jones.

Disney announced the fifth and final indie film in 2022 – which has been in development for many years – sending fans on social media into a celebratory frenzy.

“We are in pre-production on the next and final installments of Indiana Jones,” Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy said during Disney’s massive Investor Day presentation.

“Of course, Indie, Harrison Ford, will be coming to complete the journey of this iconic character. Indie will start shooting in late spring of 2021 and will be released in July 2022.”
