Lego on Instagram Why Create Original Christmas Tree

Santa’s gifts are also coming through Instagram, it seems. In France, the Lego brand helps children who have played the holiday campaign on the social network. Users of the site are asked to join forces to create and decorate the most original trees using Lego bricks. In turn, the cult brand will donate Lego sets to needy children through its charitable partners.

French Lego fans can help make Holiday 2020 a little more fun for kids in need from the comfort of their Instagram account. In fact, social media seems to be the place for brands who want to do good deeds during these festive seasons. In France, Lego partnered with VR Social to launch its “#BuildTogue” campaign, inviting users to create and decorate a virtual Lego Christmas tree in early December for a good cause.

The initiative relies on polls on Instagram stories, where fans of the brand choose how to create and decorate this unique Christmas tree and choose the items to add. VR Social explains on its website that Lego Kits will be donated to children in need through the toy maker’s partner charities for every vote. The finished virtual tree will be ready to view on Instagram on December 24th.

The initiative is part of a broader international campaign via the #BuildToGive hashtag. Internationally, Lego challenges fans around the world to create fun and unique wood decorations using Lego bricks. When sharing the image they have created on social networks using the campaign hashtag, Lego will donate a kit to the child in need on behalf of the creator. According to its official website, the toy maker is set to donate one million Lego sets to charities. – AFP RelaxNews
