On Friday, the Douglas County Department of Health announced that 421 new cases of COVID-19 had been received in the past day, ending at midnight. Of note, Douglas County announced 296 new lawsuits the previous day, turning the latest numbers into a big tab. It brings the total number of cases in Douglas County to 22,786 since it erupted in March. No new death certificates were received by the health department in the past day regarding COVID-19. The death toll from the outbreak in the county is 231. DCHD has confirmed that 15,387 district residents have recovered from the disease.
